Nokian tires won in a test held by the "Off Road" magazine
The winner among summer tires according to the test results conducted by the staff of the popular publication "Off Road" was the product of the Nokian brand, while the Maxxis tires were ranked last. Recall that in the latest test organized by German specialists, this time 4x4 SUV tires were evaluated.
Initially, 18-inch products from nine brands, marked 255/55 R18, were selected for participation in the test by the publication's representatives. The Mercedes-Benz ML 250 was chosen as the test vehicle. The task set by the testers was to check the behavior of the tires during everyday operation.
Nokian ZLine tires took first place in the study, overtaking other SUV tires - Continental SportContact 5 SUV and Dunlop SP QuatrroMaxx - on the final stretch. The top three, as well as the fourth and fifth place winners - Pirelli Scorpion Verde and Goodyear F1 SUV 4x4 Asymmetric - received a "highly recommended" rating.
Three more SUV tire options were labeled "recommended": Kumho Crugen HP91, Toyo Proxes T1 Sport SUV, and Vredestein Ultrac Vorti. Meanwhile, the Maxxis Victra M36 only managed to achieve a "sufficient" rating during the tests, landing in the very last 9th place.
