Nexen tires have been chosen for the new Dodge Charger and Challenger
Nexen Tire will supply tires for the new Dodge Charger and Challenger, famous symbols of American muscle cars, which are to be released by Stellantis, the sixth-largest global automaker, by the end of the year and, in line with current trends, become electric vehicles.
For both novelties, all-season tires Nexen N’Fera AU7 of the UHP category were homologated, which were specifically designed for high-performance premium cars and aimed to provide a high level of traction and efficient braking in various weather conditions in North America. In addition, new design technologies were used, which helped reduce noise and improve vibration absorption efficiency. Earlier, the tires received three prestigious awards in the field of industrial design: iF Design Award, Red Dot Design Award, and IDEA.
Nexen has been supplying tires for Dodge since 2014, and in 2018, the N’Fera SUR4G sports tires were included in the Challenger's configuration. As Nexen says, the company is constantly developing cooperation, and now the tire manufacturer is participating in the project to electrify the Jeep brand.
In total, Nexen supplies tires for 117 car models from 28 brands around the world this year, which "confirms the quality of the company's products," and artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies are used in the production of tires.
"Tire supplies for models iconic to the history of American car manufacturing are an important achievement that will help us further increase the value of our brand," Nexen noted.
