Maxxis tires are homologated for Xpeng G7
The company Xpeng Motors, continuing to develop cooperation with Maxxis, has chosen tires of the Taiwanese brand for the original equipment of the mid-size electric crossover G7, which, according to the manufacturer's plan, should compete with Tesla Model Y.
The Xpeng G7 is equipped with Maxxis Waltz MS2 tires in the size 235/60 R18, designed for medium and high-class vehicles and optimized for both improved handling and safety, as well as reduced noise, making them a suitable choice for electric vehicles.
According to the manufacturer, the combination of a rubber compound recipe with a high proportion of silica and a tread pattern with wide straight channels improves the drainage characteristics of the tires, while the design, developed using the Optim-Tech technology with the use of big data, improves acoustic comfort, and the reinforced carcass construction ensures tire durability both during daily commutes and out-of-town trips.

Currently, Maxxis supplies tires for vehicles from brands in Europe, the USA, Japan, South Korea, and China, and the company says that many major manufacturers choose large-size tires, such as 19-inch diameter, for their premium models. The cooperation with Xpeng was launched in 2020, and previously Maxxis tires were also approved for the P7 sedan and the large-sized G9 crossover.
"We are confident that Maxxis Waltz MS2 tires will provide all Xpeng G7 owners with a high level of safety and comfort, and we look forward to further expanding our cooperation with automakers to strengthen our position in the original equipment sector," notes Maxxis.
