Linglong Tires Achieved New Success in Independent Tests
All-season tires Linglong Grip Master 4S were recognized as the best in terms of price and quality based on the results of the test of the AvD Automobile Club, in which tires of the 205/45 R17 size from nine brands were compared.
In AvD, it was noted that the results of Linglong "confirm that Chinese manufacturers are catching up with competitors in terms of quality, not only in the automotive but also in the tire sector", and the company stated that the high performance of Grip Master 4S "sends a clear signal to the European market that tires from Chinese brands meet the highest international standards".
"This victory confirms the high quality of our products and the effectiveness of our efforts to develop in the European and Chinese markets, and also shows that high performance and attractive prices are perfectly combined", emphasized Wolf Fuder, head of Linglong's marketing department in Europe.
AvD tested the tires on snow, wet and dry asphalt, and Grip Master 4S (since May 2025, it has been produced under the name Sport Master 4S) could have won in the "best price-quality" category and in the tests of 205/55 R16 size tires, but lost to Kleber Quadraxer 3 due to relatively low results in braking efficiency and handling on snow, as well as longitudinal aquaplaning resistance.
The Sport Master 4S tires, which "set a new standard in the all-season segment", are designed for small and medium-sized cars and have a directional V-shaped tread pattern, designed to improve handling on wet and snowy roads. The wide grooves are designed to quickly drain water and slush to the sides, reducing the risk of aquaplaning, and the special rubber compound is optimized for reliable traction, including at low temperatures. The tire (in size 225/50 R17) was also tested by the Auto Bild magazine, which rated it last, 15th, due to weak performance on wet and snowy surfaces. At the same time, Linglong managed to pass the main part of the test, unlike 12 other tires.
The Linglong Sport Master 4S was developed at the company's European Research and Development Center in Hanover, Germany, and the tests were conducted in Spain, China, and Finland. The tires are produced at Linglong's factories in China and Serbia and are available in 60 sizes with a diameter from 13 to 19 inches, and additional sizes are currently being developed.
