Laufenn tires have been homologated for Skoda Octavia
Recently introduced tires Laufenn S Fit 2 will be installed on the production line on the Skoda Octavia, the best-selling model of the Czech brand, reported in Hankook, which thus brought its second-tier brand into the original equipment segment.
"The successful partnership with the Czech automaker lays the foundation for the launch of further projects in the OE sector and confirms the impressive development of the Laufenn brand over the past 10 years," the company said.
Laufenn S Fit 2 tires have a tread pattern with protruding blocks, which, in combination with a high silica content in the rubber compound, increase safety on wet roads, while the reinforced shoulder zones are designed to stabilize handling, including at high speeds with a full load. In addition, in accordance with the requirements of the automaker, the developers paid attention to reducing noise, and the tires, as Hankook says, also have "impressively low" rolling resistance, and the robust bonds between the components of the rubber compound increased wear resistance, and the last two factors will reduce vehicle owner costs.

"In the process of developing tires for Skoda, the main emphasis was placed on them being universal and without significant drawbacks - like the Octavia itself," noted in Hankook.
A plus sign symbol is applied to the sidewall, indicating that the tires have been homologated for one of the brands owned by the Volkswagen Group. On the Octavia, the tires are installed in size 205/55 R17.
