Kumho tires have been chosen for Skoda electric crossovers

Tires from Kumho will be supplied for Skoda Enyaq and Elroq — two electric crossovers from the Volkswagen Group, built on the MEB platform. The first crossover is positioned as a mid-size family car, the second — as a more compact and affordable option, and both crossovers will be equipped with Kumho Ecsta PS71 SUV tires.

Kumho Ecsta PS71 SUV is a version of the brand's flagship model from the Ecsta sports line, designed for crossovers and SUVs, and therefore features a reinforced design and increased contact patch area, improving handling and stability, including at high speeds. Passenger Ecsta PS71 together with the SUV version allow to cover a wide range of vehicles, including popular electric car models, and for Enyaq and Elroq, tires of sizes 235/55 R19 and 255/50 R19 have been homologated.

"The Skoda brand is very popular in the European market, and the new supply agreement speaks to the high appreciation of the quality of Kumho Tire's products and technological capabilities," said Kim In Soo, Executive Vice President of the company and head of the OE sales department.

In 2025, the Ecsta PS71 SUV tire received a "Good" rating in the Auto Bild Allrad test, and the company says it will continue to form strategic partnerships with global automakers.
