Falken tires are included in the Audi Q6 e-tron equipment
Since May and November 2023, the Falken e.Ziex tires, which are characterized by reduced noise and low rolling resistance, in sizes 235/65R18 and 255/60R18 respectively, have been supplied to the Audi plant in Ingolstadt, Germany, for the initial equipment of the electric Q6 e-tron crossover.
According to Falken Tyre Europe, tires for electric vehicles and hybrids must meet specific requirements, in particular, have improved energy efficiency, guarantee reliable traction on all types of surfaces, and withstand increased loads, and the e.Ziex model has all these characteristics. The premiere of the tires took place in the spring of 2023, and now this is one of the most economical models in the Sumitomo Rubber Group's assortment.
The Falken e.Ziex has an asymmetric tread pattern, made using Advanced 4D Nano Design technology, and is characterized by optimized shoulder areas. The developers tried to prevent the occurrence of peak loads in the shoulders, that is, the pressure is distributed more evenly, which improves traction on both wet and dry roads, as well as extending the life of the tires. In addition, the contour of the shoulder sections has been changed to reduce rolling resistance and increase the range of electric vehicles.

The economy of the tires was confirmed in last year's Auto Bild test, in which Falken showed the lowest rolling resistance among the eight participants, as well as the best energy consumption rates in kWh per 100 km.
"We are proud to contribute to the quality and innovation that Audi cars are known for around the world," said Christian Stolting, Sales Director at Falken Tyre Europe. "We are also pleased that our products meet Audi's high requirements in terms of innovation and safety."
The tires for Audi are marked with an additional AO marking, and on the secondary market, the e.Ziex is offered in 29 sizes with a diameter of 15-21 inches and speed indices H, V, and W.
