Sumitomo has developed a special version of the Falken Azenis FK520 tire for the factory-equipped electric Porsche Cayenne, which has received the NG0 designation. For the Cayenne Electric, the tires are supplied in 255/55 R20 sizes for the front and 305/45 R20 for the rear axle and are available in combination with several wheel options.

The staggered configuration, as stated by the company, was chosen taking into account the Cayenne's chassis settings and improves maneuverability, traction, and stability, while the rubber compound has been refined to reduce rolling resistance and increase the range of the electric vehicle. Since the FK520 tire belongs to the UHP category, it was designed specifically for high-performance sports cars and operates stably at high speeds - the Cayenne Electric is equipped with tires with a Y speed index, which means they can be used at 300 km/h.

According to Christian Stolting, Sales Director for the Original Equipment sector at Dunlop Tyre Europe, the development of tires for the electric Cayenne "confirms the company's ability to create innovative solutions for premium electric vehicles of the latest generation". "This is another step in our long-term partnership with Porsche, and we continue to position ourselves as a preferred supplier in the segment of tires for high-performance electric crossovers," he added.

Since 2011, Falken and Porsche have also been successfully collaborating in motorsports, and the Japanese company's tires are installed on the Porsche 911 GT3 R in the brand's signature blue-green colors in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) and the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. In addition, Falken tires have been approved for a number of other Porsche models, in addition to the Cayenne, and, for example, in 2019, they were homologated for the compact Macan crossover. A five-year warranty applies to all tires that are part of the factory equipment of vehicles or sold by authorized Falken partners.
