Dunlop tires have been chosen for the new racing monoseries

The Dunlop brand has been chosen as the exclusive tire supplier and partner for the new Pro Honda CBR600RR Cup by Improve monocup, which will be launched next year as a support series for the Italian Motorcycle Championship Campionato Italiano Velocità (CIV).

Participants in the new series will be riding Honda motorcycles, which will be fitted with the same tires used by riders competing in the CIV on Italy's top circuits. One slick option from the Dunlop KR range will be available for the front and two for the rear, which are also supplied for other competitions such as the Endurance World Championship (EWC).

In the new monocup, riders will use identical motorcycles, which, according to Dunlop, puts the rider's skill in the spotlight. Each participant will receive the first set of tires for free, after which the company will award two tires to the winners, while second-place riders will receive a rear tire and third-place riders will receive a front tire.

"We are delighted to be partnering with the new series, which is a great continuation of our collaboration with the CIV championship, where we became the exclusive tire supplier at the start of the current season," said Wim Van Achten, Dunlop's European Motorsport Manager. "The philosophy of the new series is admirable, and we are pleased to support the participants and help them reduce costs. As a result, we will see exciting competitions on some of Italy's best racing circuits."

Alessandro Michelozzi, Firenze Motor/Improve (series promoter) manager, added that "we are really pleased to have a technical partner like Dunlop, as they can guarantee high-quality products, which is essential for the success of our racing series."

The calendar for the new series has not yet been determined, and the next CIV season will start on April 5-6 in Misano, where Dunlop will begin its second year as the exclusive tire supplier for all championship classes, such as Superbike and Supersport 600NG.
