Tires for Aurus hit the secondary market

Tires Kama, designed for the Aurus project, are entering the mass market and, what is especially important in the context of import substitution, are optimally suited for Chinese crossovers equipped with large-diameter disks, reports "BUSINESS online".

Currently, summer tires Kama A16 (NK-136) can be found on sale in the size 255/55 R20, and in 2023, it was reported that models NK-133, NK-533, and NK-535 were also developed for Aurus, the last two of which are studded winter tires.

Not so long ago, the winner of the "Engineer of the Year" competition in Tatarstan was Gulnaz Fedorova, an engineer at the Kama Research and Development Center, who was recognized as the best in the "Transport, Road Facilities" category for developing a rubber compound for summer tires intended for Aurus.

"The model is balanced in all characteristics: both in comfort and wear resistance, and in traction on dry and wet surfaces," she noted. "We always monitor the market and improve our lines, because competitors are not asleep".
