Continental tires approved for Volkswagen ID. Polo

Continental announced that summer tires have been selected for the standard equipment of the electric hatchback Volkswagen ID. Polo Continental EcoContact 7with diameters of 17 and 18 inches, and in addition, the automaker recommends that consumers use winter tiresWinterContact TS 870 Pand all-seasonAllSeasonContact 2.

Tyres Continental EcoContact 7 were designed with a focus on reducing rolling resistance, achieved in part through the use of special construction materials that minimize internal friction. Additionally, dimples on the tyre sidewalls, inspired by golf balls, reduce air turbulence behind the tyres and further improve energy efficiency. The Silent Pattern tread design is optimized to reduce noise in frequencies typical of city traffic. For the ID. Polo, these tyres are available in sizes with215/55 R17and215/50 R18with rim protection. 

Winter tires Continental WinterContact TS 870 P are designed for use in countries with moderate climates. The tread pattern is engineered to enhance grip on snow, dry, and wet asphalt, while the rubber compound remains flexible at low temperatures, helping to shorten braking distances and improve safety in challenging conditions.

Finally, the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 is designed to provide optimal grip in both summer and winter conditions, but it is still not suitable for northern climates. The brand's all-season and winter tyres are recommended by Volkswagen for use on the ID. Polo in size 215/50 R18.
