Bridgestone tires are approved for Lixiang L6

The Bridgestone Corporation has announced that it will be collaborating with Li Auto, one of China's leading new energy vehicle manufacturers, and will supply tires for the Lixiang L6 hybrid crossover.

The manufacturer claims that the L6 has the longest range in its class, and with a full tank, it can travel up to 1390 km, and up to 212 km on electric power alone. The Bridgestone Alenza 001 tires, specifically designed for SUVs and optimized to reduce vibrations on uneven surfaces, provide optimal traction in harsh weather conditions, and improve stability when cornering on dry asphalt, have been included in the vehicle's configuration.

The tires supplied for the L6 are made using the Enliten technology, meaning they have a reduced weight. In fact, Bridgestone now refers to a whole package of technologies by this name, and the tires are produced using "unique recycled materials and new processes", which increases the product's durability without compromising traction, while also reducing rolling resistance and minimizing resource consumption and carbon emissions, thereby contributing to the company's sustainability goals. The B-Silent technology is also used, and a layer of sound-absorbing material is placed inside the tires, improving the level of acoustic comfort.

In China, Bridgestone currently has two plants, as well as a research and development center and a testing ground, and the local division of the company has a staff of over 3,200 people.
