Bars tires will be supplied for Chevrolet Tracker and Onix

The first Rezinotexnika Zavodi (Angren, Uzbekistan), which started equipping locally produced Chevrolet Damas minivans in spring 2024, will also start equipping the compact crossover Chevrolet Tracker and the Chevrolet Onix sedan with tires by the end of the year, which in 2023 were among the top 5 best-selling cars in the country's market.

BRZ is part of the Tatneft tire group and produces economy-class tires under the Bars brand Bars, and the expansion of its presence in the primary equipment segment, as noted, "will reduce the dependence of the domestic automotive industry on imported components and create new jobs".

"Bars tires have excellent operational characteristics," said Birinchi General Director Gulomzhon Ibragimov. - Thanks to the unique tread design, they provide high stability and manageability of the vehicle at high speeds, as well as reduce the effect of aquaplaning, where the tire loses contact with the road.

Now, Bars tires are sold both in Uzbekistan and in Russia, and in 2025-2026, new tire models will be presented, "developed specifically for local climatic conditions".

BRZ was founded in 2015, and mass production of products began in 2018. The annual capacity of the Angren plant is 3 million passenger cars and 200,000 agricultural tires (21 and two sizes, respectively), as well as 100,000 running meters of conveyor belt.
