Semperit releases a new all-season tire

Five years after the release of the all-season tire Semperit AllSeason-Grip, the Austrian brand owned by Continental has announced that a new model for year-round use, called the AllSeason-Grip 2, will soon be released.

During development, engineers focused on reducing the braking distance on dry and wet surfaces, as well as improving traction and handling in winter conditions (the tire is designed for regions with mild winters), for which the stiffness of the shoulder areas was increased and the pattern of the tread blocks was changed. According to the manufacturer, when driving on snow, the highly structured tread pattern with specially shaped lamellas and numerous grip edges improves "grip" during acceleration, braking, and maneuvering, while the rubber compound simultaneously increased the tire's resource and reduced rolling resistance.

The novelty also has an optimized design that improved the uniformity of pressure in the contact patch, making the tires more durable, and due to the low rolling resistance, the AllSeason-Grip 2 is optimally suited for electric vehicle owners, as indicated by the special marking on the sidewalls.

The AllSeason-Grip 2 will go on sale in the summer of 2025 in 35 sizes with a diameter from 15 to 20 inches, including for use at speeds up to 300 km/h. The tires are designed for a wide range of passenger cars, such as compact Seat Ibiza and Mini Cooper, as well as larger Mercedes C-Class and Skoda Octavia. In addition, sizes will be available for the Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volvo XC60, and other crossovers.

In all sizes, the tires are equipped with the 3PMSF marking, which is required in a number of European countries for legal use in winter. In the Euro marking system, the tires mainly have "B/C" ratings for wet grip and "C" for economy, and in all sizes, a "B" rating was obtained for the level of external noise.
