Agricultural tires by Bridgestone are released in XXL sizes
In response to the growing popularity of high-performance tractors of the latest generation, Bridgestone has released tires V-Tractor in six additional ultra-large (XXL) sizes with a rim diameter from 38 to 46 inches. V-Tractor is designed to combine high traction in the field with increased durability and strength, and in the new tire sizes, the tires, according to the company, also have "optimized rolling circumference for the ideal ratio of lead between the front and rear axles".
Bridgestone VT-Tractor XXL is created using virtual 3D modeling technologies and features increased tread depth and width, which improves both traction and ride comfort, while patented "curved" lugs have a volume 12% larger than competing products, and increase traction while also reducing energy losses and providing stable tire performance during operation.
The reliability of the tires is ensured, among other things, by a unique S-shaped sidewall profile, which increases elasticity at low pressure and helps reduce soil compaction, while maintaining strength under high and variable loads and preventing the tire from slipping off the rim. In addition, the tires have a reinforced carcass design that provides even pressure distribution in the contact area, improving both the field performance of the tires and their longevity, and preventing the formation of longitudinal and transverse cracks, while the optimal rolling circumference, according to the manufacturer, guarantees high traction, increases energy efficiency, and provides the necessary sensitivity and stability of the equipment. The tires are also compatible with the Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS), which allows changing the pressure when performing various tasks.
"Now farmers are using increasingly larger and more powerful tractors, and they need corresponding tires - capable of withstanding increased loads and serving longer in harsh conditions," noted Andrea Marconisini, head of the agricultural tire department at Bridgestone in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). - For this reason, the tires from the updated V-Tractor line are designed to provide faster and more efficient work in the field, as well as increased durability, reducing customer costs in the long term."
VT-Tractor in XXL sizes will be produced at the plant in Puente San Miguel (Spain), whose production capabilities were recently improved through the introduction of new technologies and the installation of specialized equipment for the production of large-diameter tires. The new VT-Tractor sizes will enter the European market starting from April this year, making the tires suitable for use on a wider range of modern agricultural equipment.
