Of course, in the category of "most expensive tires", it's impossible not to mention airplanes. And, of course, here too, the biggest of the big, or rather, the largest passenger airliner in the world - the Airbus A380-800.

The airliner was designed for the most efficient flight over a distance of up to 15,400 km.

The characteristics are impressive:

• Fuel capacity - 320,000 liters
• Cruise speed - 890 km/h
• Wingspan - 79.75 meters
• Length - 72.72 meters
• Height - 24.09 meters

Imagine the weight of this aircraft - 575 tons - and its maximum capacity of 853 passengers. All this on 22 wheels during takeoff and, what's even more critical, during landing. It even begins to seem that 22 tires are not enough. But nevertheless, the Airbus tires can withstand six months of service and 300 takeoff-landing cycles. It's no wonder that the cost of one tire can reach 5,000,000 rubles.

Modern realities dictate new rules of the game and life in general. The sharp decline in demand for air travel has led to the cessation of production of the aviation giant. The last, 249th, aircraft of the A380 model was delivered in October 2021.
