Sailun introduced a new R/T class tire
Chinese company Sailun held a presentation and test drive in Moab (Utah, USA) of the new tire for off-road vehicles and pickups Ironhead Thrasher R/T RTD01, designed to provide a balance between high reliability in off-road conditions and improved driving characteristics on asphalt.
The novelty has a tread pattern with an optimized contact patch, increasing stability, while the scheme of arranging polygonal blocks has been improved to reduce noise. In addition, alternating dirt-gripping elements of different shapes increase traction on off-road, and stone ejectors reduce the risk of damage.

The tread depth of the new tires has been increased to 12.7-14.3 mm, which, in particular, has extended their service life, while the 3PMSF (three-peak mountain snowflake) marking indicates that the Thrasher R/T can function effectively on snowy surfaces. In addition, LT-sized tires have holes for installing anti-skid studs, and the warranty mileage is up to 97,000 km.
Tires are available in 36 sizes with a rim diameter from 17 to 22 inches, and in the Rugged-Terrain segment, the company offers tires under other brands, such as Blackhawk Ridgecrawler R/T, RoadX RXQuest R/T, Rovelo Ridgetrak R/T RT01 and Sailun Terramax RT.
