Sailun supplies tires for the Jetta VS8

The company Sailun has become a supplier of tires for the initial equipping of the new mid-size crossover Jetta VS8, recently introduced to the Chinese market by the joint venture FAW and Volkswagen. For the VS8, Sailun Erange Performance E01 tires were approved, which, as part of the homologation, passed tests according to Volkswagen standards and confirmed that they meet the high requirements of the concern for such parameters as handling on dry and wet roads, braking efficiency, comfort, economy, and wear resistance. The tires are supplied in sizes 225/55 R17 and 225/50 R18, as well as T125/70 R18 (doughnut).

In Sailun, they expect that in 2025 they will be able to achieve significant expansion of their presence in the primary equipment sector, and in China, the company, in addition to FAW-Volkswagen, also cooperates, for example, with BYD, Chery, Geely, Changan, NIO, BAIC, Nanjing Iveco, Toyota, and Huawei. In addition, partners of Sailun include the Vietnamese Vinfast and a number of premium automotive brands, such as BMW and Audi.

In 2026, it is planned to continue developing partnerships with automakers, which will be facilitated, among other things, by an expanded network of production complexes, which will include plants in China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Mexico, Indonesia, and Egypt.

"The numerous contracts concluded indicate that next year Sailun will begin a new stage of its development in the primary equipment segment," the company says, adding that "we will continue to supply customers around the world with eco-friendly and comfortable high-quality tires, helping the Chinese tire industry to enter the global arena".
