Rostselmash may start using Alliance tires

In late January, at the request of "Rostselmash", bench tests of agricultural tires Alliance Agristar II 70 from Yokohama were successfully conducted, which were carried out at the facilities of "Belshina", since the company has equipment for conducting "sufficiently harsh tire tests", reports "Agrobusiness".

For the tests, a drum with clips arranged at different angles is used, simulating the unevenness of the road surface, and the tire, at increased pressure and loads, rotates either until destruction or until reaching 240 hours of mileage. During the tests, the Alliance tire was compared to a model from another manufacturer, taken as a standard.

"The goal was to get results better or no worse than the standard tire," said Vladimir Saraykin, head of the OEM project at "AgroPromShina" (the official distributor of Alliance in Russia). "As a result, our tires not only passed this test perfectly but also showed themselves to be better than the standard."

The main mode tests lasted about 60 hours, and the resource of the Alliance tire was over 2.34 thousand km. It is reported that, taking into account the time for stabilization, the tire withstood 63 hours and 19 minutes, and in the Agristar II 70 twinning system, it can work up to 12 thousand motor hours.

It is noted that "Rostselmash" intends to expand the list of suppliers to better meet market requirements, and if Alliance tires "get certified", then with any special orders, they can be used for equipping tractors.

"Getting into the specification is the lion's share of success for us, that is, at any moment the plant will have the opportunity to place an order for our tires," Saraykin said.

For certification, the tires will also need to pass field tests.
