Growth of the Chinese tire market share

We are no longer surprised by loud statements about the departure of well-known tire manufacturers. But has the number of tires decreased? As it turned out, no. Tire imports have grown by 28%, and this happened due to a sharp increase in supplies of tires from Chinese brands.

This figure includes both car tires and tires for special and agricultural machinery. To date, none of the Russian manufacturers can boast of producing tires for aircraft and mining equipment. The entire volume was imported. At the same time, the Chinese manufacturer often could offer only an affordable price at a relatively low level of quality. Now the main thing is availability, and therefore the Chinese manufacturer is ready to fill the empty niches.

It is worth noting that in the passenger segment, Chinese tire manufacturers have long since reached a fundamentally new level and are no longer associated with low-quality copies of European brands.

Today, there are about 80 million tires in tire warehouses in the Russian Federation. According to the estimate of "Chестный знак" (Honest Sign), with an average monthly consumption of 3.6 million tires, there are enough tires to cover the time it takes to restructure supplies and change logistics chains. At least, since Chinese manufacturers have taken over the replacement of imports in our country, we can build optimistic forecasts. Globally, there should be no shortage, the question of the availability of specific brands remains open.
