Omni Unites has announced that it has substantially expanded the size range of European-style winter tires, the Radar Dimax Winter. Since its market launch in 2024, the tire's size range has been more than doubled, from 41 to 85 sizes, all of which are now available to order.

"We are very pleased with the balance of characteristics of the Dimax Winter and the warm welcome it has received from our partners and end-users. Excellent winter properties and high mileage are parameters that really matter to drivers, so expanding the range was a logical next step," said Olli Seppälä, Head of Research and Development, who previously held a similar position at Nokian Tyres.

The Radar Dimax Winter is designed for a wide range of passenger cars and crossovers, including electric vehicles, and was developed in collaboration with the GFG Style studio, led by renowned automotive designers Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro. The tires have undergone extensive testing with UTAC in laboratories and test tracks in several countries, ensuring "the highest standards of efficiency and reliability".

A rubber compound called Inari Silica has been developed for the tires, designed to provide both high grip on wet roads and low rolling resistance, as well as optimal durability, including in challenging conditions. Additionally, the directional tread pattern is designed to enhance traction on snow and slush, while maintaining a high level of stability on dry and wet asphalt.

The tread features "ultra-smooth" Aqueduct Grooves, which accelerate water and slush discharge to the sides, reducing the risk of aquaplaning, as well as additional elements (Connect Support Technology) that reduce block deformability across the tread width, improving steering accuracy and safety under heavy loads. Furthermore, the smooth sidewalls reduce air resistance, special labeling indicates that the tires meet the specific requirements of electric vehicles, and a circular indicator allows monitoring of tread wear.

The tires are available in 85 sizes, with diameters ranging from 14 to 21 inches.
