PTG started sales of new Pirelli truck tires

Prometeon Tyre Group (PTG) has introduced new truck tires under the Pirelli brand for regional and long-haul transportation, designed for the North American market and thoroughly tested in the USA and Canada. The new tires are named Pirelli H89 Evo (for steering axles, suitable for all-position operation) and H89 Evo Drive (for drive axles), and in the PTG lineup, they replace the H89 Plus Steer and Plus Drive models, respectively.

The tires feature new tread patterns with an increased contact patch width, which improves even wear and durability, while the lugs enhance traction in challenging weather conditions (the 3PMSF marking indicates that the tires can be used on snow), and a special dividing groove improves the strength of the shoulder areas. In addition, the undertread layer is made of a special rubber compound that reduces heat generation and rolling resistance, and the tires' economy is confirmed by the SmartWay certificate from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Pirelli H89 Evo tires are available in sizes 295/75R22.5 and 11R22.5, and PTG says that the tires are planned to be released "in all standard sizes".
