Presented Castrol tires
The premiere of tires under the Castrol brand, known worldwide primarily for lubricants, took place at the Tianma Autodrome in Shanghai. The first tires from the new line were named Castrol Minister UHP, and the company does not specify who is manufacturing them, noting only that the entry into the new segment is part of the work on creating a comprehensive solution in the market of post-sales car service.

It is also reported that Castrol tires are designed "for the middle and upper price segments, and their two key advantages are effective braking on wet roads and low noise level in the cabin". Thanks to the tread pattern that accelerates water drainage, the EU label received an "A" rating for grip in rainy weather, and the design has also been optimized to reduce vibrations and improve acoustic comfort.

"The entry of the Castrol brand into the tire market is a continuation of the implementation of the company's global strategy under the slogan "Further, Higher, Faster," said Dai Siwei, Vice President of Marketing and Development at Castrol in Greater China. - China, as a key market for Castrol on a global scale, will allow us to bring our brand into the tire sector, using existing resources to provide consumers with comprehensive solutions for post-sales car service. This is not a short-term project, but part of our long-term strategy, and starting with the release of new tires, we will work with our partners to constantly expand our presence in the Chinese market, so that Castrol is a reliable choice for consumers throughout the entire car ownership period."

The Castrol brand belongs to the British oil and gas company BP, and under it, products are offered for both the automotive and marine, industrial, and energy industries.
