Giti presents a new off-road tyre
The Gajah Tunggal test track in Karawang (Indonesia) hosted the launch of Giti's new off-road tyres, Giti GitiXcursion RT, which will be one of the main highlights at the company's stand during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).
The new model belongs to the Rugged-Terrain category and occupies a position between All-Terrain and Mud-Terrain tyres. Its target audience includes owners of premium SUVs and popular double-cab pickups in the region who need tyres suitable for everyday asphalt driving, yet capable of handling dirt and rocky roads.
According to company representatives, the tyres feature an aggressive sidewall design that not only enhances their visual appeal but also reduces the risk of damage, while the construction has been reinforced for reliable off-road performance. Additionally, the tread pattern has been refined to reduce noise levels on paved roads.

“This tyre sits somewhere between all-terrain and mud-terrain models and is designed for both asphalt and off-road use, with a 60/40 split,” said Asep Faisal, Head of Sales Support at Gajah Tunggal, while Vidi Yansen, the company’s Development Manager, added that “the tyres offer increased strength on all surface types, feature an aggressive sidewall design, and deliver improved stability and comfort.”
GitiXcursion RT will be available in 12 sizes ranging from 18 to 20 inches, and are intended for vehicles such as the Toyota Fortuner and Hilux, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Isuzu MU-X and D-Max, Ford Everest, and others.
