Hercules launches new All-Terrain class tire

American Tire Distributors (ATD) has announced the market launch of the new Hercules Terra Trac A/T tire, which the company calls "the most capable All-Terrain model in the brand's history."

The new model features an aggressive tread pattern with large shoulder lugs that enhance off-road traction, as well as deep sipes designed to ensure a high level of grip throughout the tire's service life. Additionally, the tread design has been optimized to improve stability on asphalt, and the 3PMSF symbol confirms that the tires are suitable for use in snow. Production of the tires will take place in the United States. 

According to Keith Kalkan, ATD's Director of Strategy, the launch of the Terra Trac A/T is a significant milestone for the Hercules brand and "reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in the development of our private-label brands." "This new tire was designed to meet the growing demand in the All-Terrain segment and delivers the high level of quality and performance our customers expect," he added. 

The new tires are suitable for use on construction sites and forest roads, even in challenging weather conditions, yet thanks to their high comfort level, they are also ideal for everyday driving, ATD notes. The company adds that the Terra Trac A/T is intended for owners of a wide range of pickup trucks, crossovers, and SUVs, with sales already underway across the United States. 

ATD acquired Hercules Tire in 2014.
