Porsche is installing off-road tires on the 911 model for the first time

To ensure maximum performance on demanding terrain, Pirelli will supply its Scorpion All Terrain Plus as original equipment for the Porsche 911 Dakar, marking the first time that Porsche has fitted off-road tyres to a 911 model.

The reimagined 911 was designed by the German parts manufacturer for off-road use, and the Scorpion All Terrain Plus tyre was chosen for its robust construction. The tyre manufacturer undertook a development programme that drew on knowledge from its experience of producing ultra-high-performance tyres to ensure that the adapted product would provide both support and stability on demanding surfaces, in addition to a high level of performance.
