Porsche Macan is equipped with Hankook tires

The initial equipment of the Porsche Macan included Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 ev tires, specially designed with the features of the compact crossover in mind and intended to provide maximum traction and stability under the influence of high torque. The fact that the tires were homologated by Porsche is indicated by the "NE0" marking on the sidewalls, reports the press service of Hankook.

Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 ev are made from a rubber compound that both increases the level of grip and increases the mileage due to reduced rolling resistance, and the tread pattern was designed to improve acoustic comfort, as well as handling on wet and dry roads, which is facilitated by wide and reinforced central ribs. In addition, the compound is optimized to increase wear resistance, which is required due to the rapid acceleration that electric vehicles are capable of.

In Hankook, they note that the tires are also equipped with a high-strength construction, reinforced due to the fact that the Macan weighs around 2.4 tons. Thanks to the use of a hybrid cord with aramid fibers, which reduces tread deformation, including at high speeds, the stability when cornering and changing lanes has been improved, which is especially important in the case of such a powerful sports car as the Macan, the company adds.

"The start of deliveries of premium tires for the fully electric Macan, one of the best-selling Porsche models, is another important step in our successful partnership with the sports car manufacturer," said Choongho Pak, President of Hankook Tire Europe, adding that "our technologies allow us to create tires that are fully suitable for the latest generation of sports cars".

The tires are installed on the Macan in sizes 235/55 R20 at the front and 285/45 R20 at the rear.
