POLYN: First VibroSense™ TMS sensors ready to improve braking
POLYN Technology has delivered the first engineering sample sensor nodes VibroSense™ TMS. These chips, utilizing NASP™ technology, have demonstrated in tests their ability to enhance vehicle safety by improving braking.
The VibroSense chip, which detects tire grip on the road, is now available for integration into AI-enabled tire pressure monitoring sensors (TPMS). Potential customers (tire manufacturers, OEMs, ADAS developers) can begin evaluating these enhanced TPMS- nodes.
A tire-mounted sensor with VibroSense analyzes accelerometer data and accurately estimates the road grip coefficient. This information is transmitted to the vehicle's ECU, where it is used by braking, stability, and autonomous driving systems. No mechanical modifications to the vehicle are required.
