The international trade and service network Point S has been offering passenger tires under its own brand for 30 years, and as announced at a meeting with partners in Dresden, Point S tires for commercial vehicles will soon be launched on the European market.

In the first phase, the release of six tires for two areas of application is planned: regional transportation and mixed service conditions. In Dresden, the regional trailer tire Point S Regional Haul Trailer was presented, which will be joined by models for steering and driving axles. All three tires are certified to the 3PMSF standard, meaning they are suitable for winter use, and Point S notes that the tires also feature increased durability and high load capacity. The tires will be released in sizes 315/70 R22.5, 315/80 R22.5, and 385/65 R22.5.

For mixed service conditions, three tires have been developed for steering and driving axles (available in 315/80 R22.5) and for trailers (385/65 R22.5), which have a reinforced carcass design, while a special rubber compound is designed to provide a long service life under high loads, and the snowflake marking is also present on the sidewalls.

All six tires are suitable for regrooving and retreading. Point S reports that the tires are "manufactured in Europe by a leading manufacturer", and dealers in Dresden said they are produced at Goodyear's plants in Poland and Turkey.

Tire development is carried out at Point S Group's headquarters in Lyon, France, and the company's CEO, Alfred Wölf, noted that in the future, the company will expand its range of commercial tires under its own brand in response to partner requests, in accordance with which the new product line was presented.
