Pirelli will be the title sponsor of two F1 Grands Prix
In 2026, Pirelli will become the title sponsor of the British and Italian Grands Prix - two historic races that have been included in the Formula 1 championship calendar more often than any other, the tire company reported. This year, Pirelli marked its 500th Grand Prix in F1, and next season the manufacturer will sponsor the races to be held in Silverstone and Monza on July 3-5 and September 4-6, respectively.
The British and Italian Grands Prix are the only ones that have been part of the F1 calendar under the same names since the championship was founded in 1950, meaning they have already taken place 76 times, a record for the racing series.
Pirelli itself also has a rich heritage in F1, and the company has supplied tires for championship stages a record number of times - 505 to date. The manufacturer's history in F1 began during the very first race - the Silverstone Grand Prix, which was won by Giuseppe Farina driving an Alfa Romeo fitted with Pirelli tires. That year, the Italian driver also won in Monza at the final stage of the season.
Silverstone and the Monza National Circuit are two of the three historic tracks still in use in the series, with the third being the Belgian Spa-Francorchamps.
Monza, known as the "Temple of Speed", is also Pirelli's home track, with the company's headquarters located just a few kilometers from the circuit. As noted by the company, thanks to the sponsorship of the Grands Prix next year, "tradition and history will intersect again", and the calendar will include races under the names of the Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix and the Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio D'Italia.
