Pirelli is leaving WRC

As announced last year, after the end of the current season, Pirelli will complete its participation in the World Rally Championship (WRC), for which the company has been supplying tires for the past four years.

As noted by the head of Pirelli's rally program, Terenzio Testoni, in a conversation with Dirtfish, "we set ourselves a number of tasks when we started participating in the WRC, and we fulfilled them quite early, so it was decided to leave the championship".

According to him, in 2025, Pirelli will continue to supply tires for the European and national rally championships.

"Next year we will participate in the European championship, and we will have completely new tires for gravel and asphalt tracks. And next week I'm flying to Lapland as part of the development of a new ice tire. So the work doesn't stop", he said.

Last year, Pirelli noted that they supply tires for more than 40 national rally championships, as well as various events in which participants drive modern or classic rally cars.
