Pirelli is looking forward to the start in Bahrain of the longest Formula 1 season in history

Pirelli continues to serve as the exclusive tire supplier for Formula 1, returning to Bahrain for the first round of the 2024 season, which takes place from Thursday, February 29 to Saturday, March 2.

This is a change from the usual Formula 1 weekend schedule: two practice sessions on Thursday, qualifying on Friday, and the race on Saturday. The next weekend, the race will take place in Saudi Arabia. Formula 1 has made changes to accommodate the start of Ramadan on the second Sunday in March. According to Pirelli, Formula 1 teams arrive in Sakhir with more information about how the car and tire package works on this particularly abrasive track, where grip and braking stability are key factors in effectiveness: both on flying laps and longer runs.

Pirelli has chosen the three hardest P Zero tire compounds for Bahrain: C1 and C2, the hard and medium compounds for the race, and C3, the qualifying option.
