Pirelli will continue to collaborate with McLaren Trophy

Pirelli has signed a three-year agreement with McLaren Motorsport and will remain the official tire supplier for the McLaren Trophy monoseries, as well as continue to provide technical support to participants on racing tracks in Europe and North America.

Pirelli and McLaren have been collaborating for many years, and currently all road cars of the brand are equipped with tires of the Italian brand, and in 2023 they were also chosen for the new McLaren Trophy racing series, whose stages were then held only in Europe. In 2025, the McLaren Trophy America series was created, with Pirelli also becoming the tire supplier, and the new agreement will "ensure long-term stability for teams participating in the championships, which have become an integral part of the preparation of McLaren Motorsport factory drivers".

"We are very pleased that Pirelli will continue to closely cooperate with us as the official tire supplier," said Giorgio Sanna, McLaren Automotive's motorsport director. "The McLaren Trophy series continues to evolve, and tires are crucial to ensuring its competitiveness and safety for teams, and Pirelli, as a world-renowned manufacturer of innovative and technically advanced tires with vast experience in motorsport, is an ideal partner for us. The new agreement will allow teams and drivers to be confident that they will receive the best technical support in the world as the championship continues to develop".

For both the European and North American series, Pirelli will supply P Zero DHG slicks and Cinturato WHB rain tires made with natural rubber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and bearing the corresponding marking on the sidewalls. This means that all the rubber used comes from plantations managed with consideration for biodiversity and the well-being of people living and working in the region.

"For us, it is a great privilege to cooperate with McLaren in both Europe and America," noted Dario Marrafuschi, Pirelli's motorsport director. "This is a valuable opportunity to further strengthen our competencies in GT racing and continue working with one of the most prestigious automotive brands in the world, with which we have long-standing relations in the road car segment. This year's calendar is particularly packed, and we are ready to provide already proven and highly appreciated tires, as well as technical support of the standard high level that is typical for us".

In 2026, the McLaren Trophy Europe season will start in Monza (Italy), and one of the next stages will be a support race before the "24 Hours of Spa" in Belgium. The American series season has already started in March, and the races will be held, among other places, at the famous Indianapolis Motors Speedway.
