Pirelli acquires a stake in the RIDEsense startup to develop the Cyber™ Tyre system

Pirelli has entered into an agreement with the RIDEsense startup, specializing in advanced mobility technologies. The company is acquiring 24.99% of the startup's shares with the possibility of buying up to 100%. The partnership aims to integrate RIDEsense's virtual sensors (algorithms) into the Pirelli Cyber Tyre ecosystem.

The combination of physical sensors in tires with virtual data processing algorithms will enable the expansion of vehicle safety system capabilities. This will increase the accuracy of aquaplaning detection and improve the overall diagnosis of tire and vehicle condition, which is an important step in the development of driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving technologies.
