Pirelli wins at Pikes Peak

The company Pirelli celebrated its victory in the famous Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC) in Colorado thanks to the brilliant performance of Romain Dumas, who for the fifth time became the "King of the Mountain" at the wheel of the electric Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck, equipped with Pirelli P Zero racing tires.

The Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck has a power of around 1600 horsepower, and Dumas covered the distance in 8 minutes 53.553 seconds. The tire company emphasized that his victory is significant because it speaks to the synergy between Pirelli and Ford in preparing tires for electric vehicles.

"We are delighted to celebrate this achievement with Ford," said Matteo Braga, Pirelli's racing manager. "The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is one of the most prestigious competitions in world motorsport, and the P Zero tires were designed to provide the necessary grip on such a challenging track. This victory once again confirms our commitment to innovation and providing the highest quality products."

The "Race in the Clouds", as the PPIHC is often called, attracts participants and spectators from all over the world every year. Pirelli adds that in recent years, electric car drivers have increasingly dominated the competition, reflecting the overall trend in motorsport.
