To celebrate the 40th anniversary of both the P Zero line and the Lancia Delta S4 Stradale — the road-going version of the Delta S4 Group B, which became a true icon of motorsport — Pirelli has re-released the tires with the original 1985 design, which will be available in a limited edition of 40 sets.

Pirelli P Zero of the first generation was created using the experience of participating in racing on the basis of radial tires that were supplied to car manufacturers in the World Rally Championship (WRC). The recreated tires are released in size 205/55 R16 — the only one that was originally developed — and are added to the Pirelli Collezione line, which includes tires for cult cars produced from 1930 to 2000, all of which have an original design but are made using modern materials and technologies that improve safety.

40 years ago, the P Zero tread pattern was truly innovative, with grooves in the inner shoulder area, like those of racing rain tires, while the outer shoulder was "slick" and the central zone had a design similar to that of intermediate-type racing tires.

In 2025, the fifth-generation tire was introduced, which continues the traditions of its predecessors and recently won its first independent test conducted by Tyre Reviews, and the manufacturer claims that one of the features of Pirelli P Zero (PZ5) is handling and braking efficiency, improved with the help of virtual reality and artificial intelligence technologies. The PZ5 tires are available in more than 50 sizes with a diameter from 18 to 23 inches and, together with other models from the P Zero family, provide full coverage of the premium and luxury car market, emphasize Pirelli.
