About Firestone's racing tires with natural guayule rubber

Автор: Mosautoshina

The Firestone Firehawk racing tire made with guayule natural rubber made its on-track debut in the United States this year. The latest test of the tire came at the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix on the streets of Nashville in August, marking another milestone in the sustainability efforts of Firestone and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.

The new eco-friendly tire first debuted in May during the Ruoff Mortgage Pit Stop Challenge during the 106th Indianapolis 500 race week presented by Gainbridge. It is partially composed of a new eco-friendly natural rubber derived from the guayule shrub, which requires less water to cultivate than traditional sources of rubber.
