New tires developed for F1 provide higher speed movement
Thanks to the use of new tires developed by the Pirelli brand for racing cars, drivers were able to ensure a three-second faster lap time. We are talking about the tire product of the P Zero Yellow model.
These soft tires were again recognized as the fastest in Australia. However, thanks to the modification made by Pirelli specialists, this time they showed an even more impressive result, breaking their own last year's record by three seconds per lap.
Such positive efficiency had been a forecast for a long time, but after the start of the season and the Australian Grand Prix, everything was confirmed. The best time of the weekend in qualifying on soft tires last year was 1:29,375, while the result of this year is 1:26,327.
With medium-hard tires, the best result of this year was shown by Mercedes pilot Lewis Hamilton with a score of 1:30,945. This season it is one and a half minutes faster than last year. Then, recall, with a score of 1:32,478, the Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg won.
