New Mickey Thompson Tire Sizes

Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels (a part of Goodyear) has expanded the size range of its Mickey Thompson Baja M/T mud tires, releasing them in two new additional sizes with an outer diameter of 42 and 44 inches, designed for use on 20-inch rims.

The new 42X13.50R20LT and 44X13.50R20LT sizes are approved for mounting on rims with a width of 9 to 11.5 inches, which, according to the company, increases the choice of available options, while the high mounting diameter allows the use of large brake systems.

"After we launched the Baja Boss M/T line in 2019, it quickly gained a high reputation for its excellent off-road traction and improved durability, as well as its excellent on-road performance," said Ben Anderson, senior manager at Mickey Thompson. "At the same time, as we saw how enthusiasts modified their vehicles, we realized that we needed to expand the line and add extreme sizes to it."

The company adds that both new sizes increase the clearance, while the 13.5-inch (34.3 cm) width improves maneuverability in difficult off-road conditions.
