Michelin's novelty has been recalled

Rarely does a newly introduced tire immediately get recalled, but that's exactly what happened with this season's novelty - the summer passenger Michelin Primacy 5 energy.

According to the EU's rapid alert system for dangerous non-food products, the tires were found to have insufficient depth of the airtight layer, which can cause a slow loss of pressure and creates a risk of an accident.

Tires of unspecified quantity, size 205/60 R16, manufactured during the third and fourth weeks of 2026 in France, are being recalled.
