New award for Maxxis

Maxxis received the Gold A' Design Award in Italy for its Maxxis Victra Sport EV tires, specifically designed for electric vehicles and previously awarded the Red Dot Design Award.

The A' Design Award organizers noted that "the share of electric vehicles in the global market is growing rapidly, and given the relatively underdeveloped charging infrastructure, low noise levels, and high torque of electric motors, as well as the additional weight of vehicles, drivers are often concerned about whether tires will increase range, how noisy they are, and whether they will need to be replaced frequently due to increased wear".

Maxxis Victra Sport EV were created taking into account all these factors and, for example, feature a reinforced carcass and tread structure that increases their reliability, while the rubber compound has been optimized to reduce rolling resistance, and the variable tread pitch and sound-absorbing foam in the design reduce noise levels.

It is also noted that Victra Sport EV "have sparked great interest among visitors to various exhibitions and in the automotive industry, and their innovative design has attracted the attention of competitors, and Maxxis hopes that this product will contribute to the development of the entire industry".
