New Kumho KR26 model
27 december 2012
Kumho has announced that in the first quarter of 2013, new all-season tires for passenger cars, Sence KR26, will go on sale. This tire will be the first novelty of the coming year.
The company also announced the release of an all-season Ultra-High Performance tire, which will take place in the third quarter of 2013. This model does not yet have a name, but it is already known that it will be distinguished by its durability, good traction characteristics, and will replace the Kumho Ecsta AST.
As for the nearest novelty, it has a speed index V (up to 240 km/h) and is designed for family cars like the Mazda 3. As explained by the company, the focus on this segment of tire products was not made in vain: over the past period, the demand for tires of this class has increased several times, and Kumho strives to meet the consumer's requests.
The new model is distinguished by its lightness, which will allow reducing rolling resistance and, as a consequence, fuel consumption.
Also, a feature of the new tire is the presence of wide longitudinal grooves that quickly drain moisture from the tread, transverse grooves - for better traction with the road surface, as well as an uneven arrangement of blocks, which made it possible to reduce the level of noise generated during driving.
The novelty will be available in twenty-eight sizes with diameters from 13 to 17 inches.
