Nokian is reducing its personnel

Nokian Tyres announced that it has completed negotiations on personnel reduction in Finland and will lay off 35 office workers working in various departments of the company by the end of the year. In addition, temporary layoffs of around 650 employees engaged in the production of passenger car tires, as well as tires for trucks and special equipment in Nokia, are planned. The layoffs will be carried out until the end of 2026 for a period not exceeding 90 days per person.

Nokian notes that the new measures are part of a program to improve financial performance and operational efficiency, which was announced on October 28, 2025. Outside of Finland, measures to improve profitability will also be taken if necessary.
