The Nizhnekamsk plant for truck tires has turned 47 years old
On April 22, 1978, in Nizhnekamsk, the first tire for heavy-duty trucks was produced, which, as rightly noted in Kama Tyres, became a starting point for the formation of an entire direction of the domestic tire industry.

Throughout its almost 50-year history, the Nizhnekamsk plant has become one of the key domestic manufacturers of tires for freight transport, and in 2024, 2.3 million units of products were produced, and a separate line for the restoration of tires with a metal-cord construction was also launched. According to the results of last year, more than half of the freight tires produced in Russia accounted for Kama Tyres.
The company's range includes freight (combined and metal-cord), industrial and agricultural tires under the Kama, Kama Pro, and Forza brands. In addition, the production of tread strips is planned to be launched.
The plant also implements special projects at the request of partners, and one of the latest developments is the Kama Pro NU 405 metal-cord tire, created for the KAMAZ-Master sports team. The tires are designed for use in the harsh conditions of rally raids, where the equipment is subjected to extreme loads, and the tires require maximum reliability.
"Kama Tyres products, in particular tires with a metal-cord structure, meet these requirements, providing the necessary cross-country ability and resistance to extreme conditions. The implementation of this project demonstrates the successful cooperation between the manufacturer and athletes to create tires that meet the specific needs of motorsport," the company noted.
