Nexen supplies tires for the Hyundai Grandeur
Nexen has been selected as the tire supplier for the factory-equipped flagship sedan Hyundai Grandeur, which has undergone a restyling and features an exterior with narrow strips of front lights, replacing the previous vertical blocks.
As with the previous version of the Grandeur, Nexen N’Fera Supreme S tires are supplied, which are also the brand's flagship in the all-season segment, and are made using the NRS (Noise Reduction System) technology, which means that a layer of sound-absorbing material in the construction reduces resonant noise, increasing the level of acoustic comfort. According to Nexen, the noise level has also been reduced due to the optimized tire profile, which was achieved through the use of big data and artificial intelligence technologies.

AI has also helped improve the even distribution of pressure in the contact patch, which, in combination with a modified rubber compound, has increased grip and stability when driving at high speeds. The design of the grooves and lamellas is designed to maintain the tire's characteristics as the tread wears out. In addition, the aerodynamic sidewalls reduce air resistance, improving fuel efficiency.

The all-season N’Fera Supreme S tires are also approved for other premium Hyundai models, such as the flagship Palisade crossover and the Nexo, which became the first Korean mass-produced fuel cell vehicle. Nexen is actively collaborating with foreign automotive brands, including Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche, and the company says that the supply of tires for the Grandeur confirms the high quality of the products and the company's technological competence in the face of increasing competition from Korean and foreign manufacturers.
"The fact that the N'Fera Supreme S has been re-approved for the Grandeur after the update confirms that they meet Hyundai's high requirements for acoustic and driving characteristics and are optimally suited for their flagship sedan," the company said. "We will continue to strengthen our strategic partnership with global automakers, including Hyundai Motors, as well as expand our tire supplies to promising mobility segments, including electric and hydrogen vehicles."
