The most influential Chinese tire brands have been named
On December 18 in Hong Kong, the consulting company World Brand Lab presented the latest ratings of the most influential brands in various industries, including the Chinese tire industry. As announced, the most influential Chinese tire brand is Doublestar, owned by Doublestar Group, one of the largest tire manufacturers in the country, which has owned a controlling stake in the Korean Kumho since 2018.
The list of the most influential Chinese tire brands also includes Sailun, Linglong, Chaoyang, Double Coin, Celimo, Advance, Triangle, CST and Chengshan.

Doublestar Group is among the 500 largest Chinese manufacturing companies in China. In addition to producing tires, the company is also engaged in the production of intelligent equipment for the tire industry and the recycling of old tires.
Not so long ago, it was announced that Doublestar intends to buy out Kumho shares and turn the Korean tire manufacturer into its subsidiary to "eliminate horizontal competition within the company". If we consider Kumho's results, then last year Doublestar's total revenue was 26.6 billion yuan (3.64 billion dollars), making the company the tenth largest tire manufacturer in the world, second in China, and first in Shandong Province. Additionally, if the reorganization had already been carried out, Doublestar would have taken the first place in sales of passenger tires on foreign markets among Chinese manufacturers.
As noted in Doublestar, in recent years the company has continued its transformation into a world-class tire manufacturer and the development of new innovative products, such as the Crossleader Extreme EV95 tires, created specifically for electric cars and hybrids. In 2024, Doublestar entered the list of the 500 most valuable brands in China and was also recognized as the strongest tire brand on the local market. The brand value has grown to 102.379 billion yuan (14 billion dollars), and Doublestar has become the first Chinese tire brand worth over 100 billion yuan.
