The average bill for winter tires in Russia has been announced

In 2025, the average check for a set of new winter tires from August to the first half of October increased by almost 24% compared to the previous year. This is stated by the data of "Mega Market", which are cited by "Izvestia".

According to analysts of the trading platform, tires remain the largest expense item when preparing a car for winter, and the average check for a new set was 35,527 rubles. Russian tires have increased in price by 32%, to 21,200 rubles; European, Japanese, and American ones - by 22%, to 59,450 rubles; and Chinese ones - by 1%, to 29,100 rubles. Experts say that the price increase is due to a shortage of natural rubber and restrictions on the production of synthetic materials.

According to the company, the most popular tires remain the inexpensive ones, with 85% of drivers choosing models costing up to 15,000 rubles per piece, 13% willing to pay between 15,000 and 30,000 rubles for one tire, and only 2% preferring premium tires costing more than 30,000 rubles.

The highest demand for tires is observed in mid-August (38%) and September (37%), but the real rush begins in the first weeks of October, when the sales share reaches over 51% of the total category volume. The majority of buyers are men, who account for 77%.
