A new head of Doublestar has been named
On January 20, Qingdao Doublestar announced that Zhang Xiaosin, who has been working in the tire industry for about 40 years and has previously held various leadership positions at Aeolus, including the posts of operating and general director, was appointed as the company's new general manager.
Chinese experts note that Zhang has very rich experience in managing tire enterprises, especially in the segment of truck tires, and his arrival at Doublestar should help the company "achieve rapid development through the use of his management and other professional skills".
Doublestar is a tire manufacturing company that is part of the Doublestar Group. The company owns three production sites, two in China (in Qingdao and Shiyan) and one in Cambodia, as well as a research and development center where tire development is carried out.
In recent years, the company has received a number of awards in China for innovation, product quality, implementation of intelligent manufacturing technologies, etc., and in the ranking of the 500 best Asian brands, Doublestar ranks first among tire manufacturers. In addition, Doublestar has become the first brand in the Chinese tire industry with a value of over 100 billion yuan (13.4 billion dollars).
Currently, Doublestar is carrying out a large-scale restructuring of assets together with Kumho Tire, which the company has controlled since 2018. According to insiders, Zhang's appointment as general manager will not only help the company "explore more market opportunities, improve its operational efficiency and continue to strengthen its position, but also contribute to future integration with Kumho"
