The production of new Viatti winter tires has been launched
Kama Tyres have begun serial production of new passenger winter tires Viatti Nordico 2 with studs, and the first sizes to be released on the market are 175/70 R14, 175/65 R14, 185/60 R14, and 205/55 R16. The new model replaces the Viatti Brina Nordico of the first generation, presented in 2013.
Nordico 2 tires are equipped with new anti-skid studs featuring a steel body that slows down wear and a tungsten carbide core that increases the effectiveness of ice surface piercing. Additionally, the body shape has been optimized so that the studs work in all directions and are securely held in the tread. The manufacturer notes that the effectiveness of the new studs on icy roads has increased by 25%, and the elements around the studs create a brush effect, clearing the surface of ice or compacted snow and accelerating acceleration and braking.
In the central zone of the tread, there are rhomboid blocks that increase directional and lateral stability, while the zigzag edges of the tread blocks create additional grip edges, and the wavy lamellas improve handling on asphalt.
According to Timur Sharipov, Executive Director of Kamа Trading House, the new tires are "suitable for urban roads and complex routes, especially where a high degree of reliability is required", and "the optimally built profile and material distribution in the sidewall area provide comfortable and safe operation in various winter conditions".
