A fire broke out at the Goodyear plant in Luxembourg

11 people were hospitalized due to a fire at the Goodyear tire plant in the Luxembourg town of Colmar-Berg, ERJ reports, citing the local fire department.

The fire started on the afternoon of January 20 and was extinguished by the evening. It is reported that 23 people could have inhaled a large amount of smoke, and 11 of them were sent to three hospitals for a more thorough examination.

Goodyear notes that the fire occurred in the rubber mixing shop, and the company is currently cooperating with the authorities to determine the cause of the incident, assess the damage and eliminate the consequences. "We are also assessing the possibility of resuming work," the company added.
